Online Therapy Intensives in Orlando and throughout Florida
A therapy intensive is a longer, focused session, two or three hours instead of the standard sixty minutes, designed to give you room to go deep without stopping just as things begin to shift. Intensives can be a good fit if weekly therapy feels too slow, too fragmented, or too hard to schedule.
I offer online intensives on Saturdays for adults in Orlando and throughout Florida. Each intensive includes a 90-minute intake beforehand and a follow-up session afterward, so the work is thoughtfully prepared and integrated. It all starts with a free 30-minute consultation.

One focused Saturday instead of months of rescheduling

For many Orlando residents, weekdays belong to work, school, and traffic. Healthcare workers on twelve-hour shifts, hospitality staff with changing schedules, and parents running between activities often find that weekly appointments get canceled more than they're kept. That stop-and-start pattern can make it hard to build momentum, especially with trauma work.
An intensive lets you set aside one block of time and give it your full attention. We might use EMDR to process a specific memory, IFS to work with a stubborn pattern, or both. Because it's online, you can create a cozy, private setup at home, with water, a blanket, and no drive afterward. A 2-hour intensive is $450, a 3-hour is $700, and we'll talk through which length fits during your free consultation.
Therapy for Orlando residents, from home
If you live in Orlando, you probably plan your week around I-4. A mid-afternoon appointment across town can quietly turn into a two-hour round trip, and that is often the moment people give up on getting help. Online therapy takes the drive out of the equation. You open your laptop at home in College Park, in a parked car outside the office in Lake Nona, or in a quiet room after a closing shift, and we begin.
Orlando runs on hospitality, healthcare, tech, and education, and plenty of those jobs come with rotating schedules, weekend shifts, and very little margin. I see Florida clients by secure video, so where you sit matters less than whether you have privacy and a steady connection.
Finding a therapist who is actually trained in trauma work, rather than one who lists it among twenty specialties, can take real searching in a metro this size. If you have been looking, I am glad you found your way here.

How therapy intensives work

Intensives are typically held on Saturdays, at varying times to fit different schedules. Each session runs 2 to 3 hours depending on the work and your needs. New clients also receive a 90-minute intake session beforehand and a follow-up session one to two weeks afterward.
Before your intensive, we'll meet for a consultation to map your goals and the areas you want to address. During the intensive you'll receive my undivided attention, drawing on EMDR, IFS, cognitive behavioral strategies, mindfulness, and somatic practices as needed.
- Trauma healing with EMDR
- Inner child work and emotional processing with IFS
- Building and practicing emotional regulation strategies
- Deep self-reflection and reframing of limiting beliefs
- Coping strategies for ongoing stress, anxiety, or grief

More client stories“I was initially hesitant to do any therapy. My previous experiences with therapists were not so fruitful or helpful. Most of the time I could recognize that my reactions to things were illogical or based on fallacies but not why or how I could change them. I thought I'd be doomed to live a painful life and other people just had something I didn't. That every day would be worse than the previous day. But, with Mrs. Romero and EMDR/IFS things changed. I'm not saying it was easy. It was hard; but worth it. The world used to scare me and the people in it. I felt like an animal just reacting to random stimuli and not knowing why. But through therapy I was able to become more relaxed and enjoy life and what it has to offer. I could face my problems head on and actually get to the bottom of them. I'm 1000x happier than when I first started. I couldn't quite believe it myself. The past me would think that was bull; but it's the truth. I still have some things to change but I'm hopeful for the future and I actually have tools to reach that future. I used to be so hard on myself for mistakes or taking responsibility for things that weren't mine to take. EMDR/IFS helped me build compassion and patience with myself. I look forward to most days and I think there's some beauty in that.”
Therapy Intensives in Orlando: common questions
Have a question that isn't answered here? I'm happy to talk it through in a free consultation.
I don't. My practice is fully online, and every session happens over secure video. That means you can meet with me from anywhere in Orlando or the rest of Florida, as long as you are physically in the state when we meet. Many people find that being in their own space actually makes it easier to settle in and do deeper work.
Yes, if you can find a private spot. A parked car, an empty conference room, or a reserved study room can all work. I ask that you never drive during a session, and that you choose a place where you can speak freely and feel your feelings without worrying about who might overhear. Headphones help a lot.
Central Florida summers bring afternoon thunderstorms almost daily, and hurricane season can disrupt things for longer. If your power or internet goes down, we can try reconnecting over your phone, or simply find another time once you are safe and settled. Because I'm not tied to an Orlando office, a storm on your side doesn't mean losing your therapist.
If you want more than the traditional weekly therapy experience and feel ready for deep emotional work in a condensed timeframe, an intensive may be a great fit. They're especially helpful for recovering from trauma, navigating transitions like divorce, career changes, or grief, breaking through self-limiting beliefs, and strengthening emotional regulation.
No. Some people benefit from more than one, but many clients see significant improvement after a single intensive. The decision to continue is always yours, and we'll talk about your progress and needs afterward.
I'm a private-pay provider and not in-network with insurance. If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill you may submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Major cards, HSA, and FSA are accepted. Flexible payment plans are available for intensives.
Yes. Many people who are already in therapy book an intensive to make focused progress on a specific issue. It can complement your ongoing work.
We'll discuss your goals in the consultation and decide together whether an intensive is the right starting point. It's important that you feel comfortable, and every intensive is tailored to your experience.
