Healing is possible, and you don't have to do it alone.
Hi, I'm Becky Romero, a trauma-informed therapist specializing in EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy via telehealth in Colorado and Florida. My passion is helping individuals break free from the pain of attachment wounds, relational trauma, and childhood experiences that have left lasting scars.
I understand how overwhelming and vulnerable it can feel to address deep wounds. My approach blends science-backed techniques with a deep understanding of your unique needs, and I'll walk alongside you every step of the way, so you feel heard, supported, and equipped to move forward.

Curiosity, compassion, insight, and collaboration.

I take a trauma-informed, attachment-focused approach that goes beyond traditional talk therapy. Together, we explore how your present struggles are connected to past experiences, shifting the question from “What's wrong with me?” to “What happened to me?”
Using evidence-based methods like EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic interventions, I focus on the mind-body connection to help regulate your nervous system, process trauma, heal childhood emotional neglect, and ease anxiety and depression. My goal is a collaborative, compassionate space where you feel empowered to heal, grow, and build a life aligned with your true self.
You can expect a warm, non-judgmental environment where we move at your pace. I incorporate exercises that build safety and security within your body, helping you reconnect to a sense of calm and control, healing from the inside out.
How therapy is different with me
Therapy with me is a blend of curiosity, compassion, insight, and collaboration. I bring an approachable, supportive style to every session, creating a safe space where you feel heard and understood. I meet you exactly where you are, respect your pace, and adapt the work to fit your individual needs.
I believe in empowering you through education, so you understand the root causes of your struggles and have the tools to create lasting change. Whether it's through nervous system regulation techniques or body-based interventions, I'll guide you in developing a deeper awareness of how your body holds and processes emotions.
Together, we work toward your goals, building a strong foundation of safety and trust to support your growth and transformation.

You've spent years feeling stuck, and the same patterns keep repeating. It's time for things to be different.

More client stories“Becky has completely changed my mindset on therapy in a very positive way. I made more progress using EMDR and IFS with her guidance in 2 months than I had made in 2+ years of therapy for trauma related issues. It's easy to be skeptical of approaches you haven't done or don't understand, but she does an incredible job of helping you make sense of everything. I very highly recommend her as a therapist!”

My clinical background spans multiple levels of care. I've worked in inpatient psychiatric intake and emergency department settings, supporting people in acute crisis and stabilization; in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), alongside families navigating medical trauma, grief, and high-stress transitions; and in community-based outpatient treatment.
Since July 2022, I've been in private practice, providing trauma-informed, integrative therapy through LotusMindFlow Counseling with EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic approaches. I approach therapy with humility, curiosity, and respect for each person's unique healing process.

Am I the right therapist for you?
Therapy with me is a great fit if you're ready to go beyond traditional talk therapy and engage in deeper, transformative work. If you've made limited progress with conventional approaches and are open to trauma-informed, evidence-based techniques like EMDR and IFS, we may be a great match. My ideal clients are adults 18+ who are committed to their healing and willing to explore both the emotional and physical sides of their experiences.
If you're not yet ready to explore past trauma, or you're looking for a quick fix without deeper emotional processing, my style may not align with your goals right now. I don't specialize in substance use treatment, and if you're experiencing a severe mental health crisis or need intensive psychiatric care, a provider who offers a higher level of care will serve you best.

A few personal fun facts
In September 2024, my family and I made the big move from Florida to Colorado, and I'm loving the change in temperature and my newfound passion for hiking. Snow brings me joy like nothing else.
Creativity is a big part of who I am, and I express it through singing, dancing, and most of all, crafting. I own a Cricut machine and a mug press, and whenever I have spare time, you can bet I'm making something new. I also love photography and have been taking lots of photos in the stunning Colorado mountains.

Change is possible, and healing is within your reach.
No matter how long you've felt stuck or how heavy the weight of your past may feel, you don't have to face it alone. Together, we can create a path toward growth, resilience, and the life you deserve.
